Valdemar Priebe successfully defended his PhD thesis at the University of Lausanne on September 4th, 2018. The thesis project “Role of ETS1 in the transcriptional network of diffuse large B cell lymphoma of the activated B cell-like type” was carried out in the Genomic and Lymphoma unit directed by Dr. Francesco Bertoni. The work describes, ETS1 regulated pathways identified after ETS1 knock down in ABC-DLBCL cell lines. Valdemar had an oral presentation of parts of his project in the 14th International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma in Lugano, 2017.
The PhD thesis committee was composed of Dr. Tatiana Petrova (President) associate professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Lausanne, Dr. Francesco Bertoni of the Institute of Oncology Research, Dr. Fabio Martinon associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Lausanne, and the external examiners Prof. Michael Baudis of the Institute of Medical Life Science at the University of Zürich and Dr. Valter Gattei director of the Oncologic Reference Center in Aviano, Italy.
Valdemar received the “PhD in Life Sciences” from the University of Lausanne.
