Groups

Research is conducted by four main groups that each focus on a particular aspect of cancer within the Research Programs.

Catapano group: Experimental Therapeutics

The group has had a long-term interest in strategies aimed at blocking selectively transcription of genes that might be implicated in pathogenesis of cancer and other diseases with the intent to exploit these approaches for therapeutic applications. more...

Bertoni group: Lymphoma and Genomics

Our group is interested in the genetics and biology of non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. We apply genome-wide DNA profiling to elucidate the genomic aberrations underlying lymphomas and to identify new potential therapeutic targets. more...

Carbone group: Prostate Cancer Biology

Research in our group is focused on the study of the molecular mechanisms that control prostate cancer development and progression. more...

Alimonti group: Molecular Oncology and Mouse Models

Our research is focused on the characterization of a novel type of cellular senescence response which is elicited by complete loss of the tumor suppressor PTEN, and on the identification of novel compounds with pro-senescence activity. more...
